And the winners are….

 



The 30th Holland Film Meeting closed in style September 26 at Museum Speelklok where the 2017 HFM project winners were announced. The three winners were chosen out of 24 selected projects from 19 different countries. Each project was presented to some of international cinema's most important and influential financiers, distributors, sales agents and co-producers, in order to stimulate their future co-production. All were in the running for a number of post-production prizes. Four Dutch projects were selected for BoostNL, a collaborative initiative with IFFR/Cinemart designed to strengthen their market effectiveness.

The winners:

  • The WarnierPosta Prize (valued at €5,000 in post-productionfacilities in one of the WarnierPosta studios):  
    Life after Zoro by Raf Reyntjens (België), produced by Xavier Rombaut. Production company: Bulletproof Cupid

  • The Cam-a-lot & Filmmore Cinema Emerging Talent Prize for Best Project (Valued at €10,000 in camera and post-production facilities):
    The Whole-Timers by Bibhusan Basnet & Pooja Gurung (Frankrijk/Nepal), produced by Marie Legrand. Production company: Les Films du Tambour.

  • The Filmmore HFM Work-in-Progress Prize (Valued at €5,000 in facility services):
    La cama by Monica Lairana (Argentinië). Produced by Adriana Yurcovich e.a.
