BoostNL is a joint initiative between the Netherlands Film Festival (NFF) and International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), supported by the Netherlands Film Fund, which offers projects in late script development stage an entirely tailor-made trajectory designed to ‘boost’ their creative and business impact. Together with the project’s participants we will look for the most suitable professionals inside and outside the film industry.

When selected for BoostNL, the project will take part in the Holland Film Meeting programme, but also has an extended development trajectory with additional consultancy sessions leading up the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Depending on the stage of the project, they may also choose to apply for Cinemart.

In previous editions, BoostNL has offered to Dutch and International projects expertise and guidance from professionals such as 2022 Golden Bear winner Carla Simón (film director, Spain), Anna Ciennik (script consultant, France), Sergina Stavroulaki (Heretic Outreach, Greece), Ada Solomon (producer, Rumania), Kate Leys (script consultant, UK), Fiona Crombie (production/costume designer, UK), Pierre Menahem (international sales/co-production, France), David Pope (script consultant, UK) and Mijke de Jong (film director, the Netherlands).

When?

The HFM track of the BoostNL programme will start with plenary and training sessions in August and September, continuing with experts´ one-on-one sessions in September.

The HFM Days will take place from from Friday through Sunday, September 22nd - 24th 2023.
