Poetic documentary about young, black and gay men, with Guilliano as a linchpin who, in a world full of homophobia, racism and exclusion, found their place in a close-knit vogue dance community in Rotterdam.
For many young, black and gay men, it can be hard to find their way in this world. Guilliano (26), founder of a Rotterdam-basedvogue dance community, and his friends give their personal comments on experiences with homophobia, racism and exclusion in daily life.To them, voguing not only means a temporary escape from the outside world, but also a close-knit family. This poetic collage film combines observational scenes with vogue dance sequences, graphic intermezzi and intimate interviews.
