About the programme

We look forward to seeing you at the Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht between September 26 and October 3, 2025!

Meet and interact with filmmakers, be the first to see the latest from homegrown films and experience film, series and digital culture in a unique way. See, feel and taste the festival atmosphere in the cinemas, film theaters and cafés during one of the many film screenings, unique events or premieres you can attend.

Core activities NFF​:

• Promote Dutch film culture: ​
  Showcase and celebrate Dutch films, documentaries, short films, animations, series, and interactive digital media projects.​

• Foster talent development: ​
  Provide a platform for emerging and established creators, featuring premieres, competitions, and awards such as the Golden Calves (Gouden Kalveren).​

• Connect audiences and professionals: ​
  Serve as a meeting place where audiences, filmmakers, and industry professionals come together through screenings, Q&As, workshops, and networking events.​

• Offer education and insight: ​
  Provide educational programmes and thematic events to make film culture and societal topics accessible to a broad audience.​

• Engage with the Utrecht community: ​
  As a festival at the heart of the Netherlands, NFF strives to maintain a strong connection with Utrecht and its residents through public events and collaborations.​
