Talent

The Netherlands Film Festival offers opportunities for new talent in the audiovisual sector. Every year, the NFF organises various talent programmes for new creators – whether students, trained professionals or self-taught – including the NFF Talent Day.

The NFF creates accessible encounters between new creators and experienced audiovisual professionals. These include one-on-one conversations with other creators, inspiring talks and in-depth sessions about the profession. NFF helps you expand your network and take your next steps in the sector.

The 46th edition of the Netherlands Film Festival will take place from Friday 25 September to Friday 2 October 2026.

Talent Day

As part of the NFF's Professionals Programme, the Talent Day focuses entirely on talent development within the audiovisual sector. Using a varied programme, new makers and av professionals meet each other in an accessible way.

At the Talent Square, funds, broadcasters, regional hubs and talent development institutions will be ready to answer all the pressing questions of new makers. There will also be inspiring talks, a lunch will be provided and at the Talent Award Ceremony the prizes for the NFF Debut Competition and NFF Student Competition will be awarded.

Talent Awards Ceremony

Every year, the Netherlands Film Festival places graduation students of audiovisual academies and new makers in the spotlight. A selection of graduation productions from the various Dutch academies is screened during the festival and the selected makers have a chance to win a number of prizes. These prizes are be awarded during the festive Talent Awards Ceremony at the NFF Talent Day.
