How the Hedwigepolder became the stake in an emotional political game. Reconstruction of the unparalleled decision-making process involving the deepening of the Westerschelde.
In 2005, the Netherlands and Belgium signed an agreement about the deepening of the Westerschelde river. In the following years, emotions ran high about the settlement to give reclaimed land back tot the river - particularly about the question whether or not the Hedwigepolder should be flooded. Ten years later, the Netherlands still has not executed the arrangement. This documentary is a reconstruction of the unparalleled decision-making process through the years and attempts to fathom the political game full of sentiments.
