When Forever Dies

Director: Peet Gelderblom
Archival fiction film about the battle of the sexes. Two lovers, lost in a kingdom of shadows, struggle to keep their love alive. But hatred creeps up on them from all sides.
Detached from time and place and across all genres, we see a dark romance bloom between Forever Woman and Forever Man. When the couple enters into a contract with the devil to make their wildest dreams come true, a battle of the sexes ensues. The archetypes transform into stereotypes and gradually the dearly beloved degenerate into sworn enemies. Will they ever find their way back to love?Archival fiction film, told on the basis of a virtuoso collage of film fragments from the Eye Filmmuseum archive.
