Impressive documentary, in which an inexperienced captain with his rickety boat is hired for a rescue mission off the Libyan coast. He and his young volunteers are barely prepared for what they find there.
In the summer of 2017, in the port of Rotterdam, a group of inexperienced idealists is making preparations to sail to the Mediterranean Sea, where they plan to pick up boat people under the flag of an NGO. After due calamities, the ship, with a self-willed captain at the helm, arrives at its destination. Near the Libyan coast, they spot the first refugee boats, but according to reports pirates are lurking. Documentary in which hope and idealism wage a fight with a ruthless reality.
