Auld Lang Syne

Portrait of the American brothers John and Alan Lawson. As children, they were inseparable and looked very alike. But their characters were very different, which made them gradually grow apart. John, who participated in the documentary before he died in 2009, loved to party, but was also an alcoholic. His brother Alan is a respectable professor at Brown University in Boston. In this subtle and composed film, John and Alan’s stories are complemented with photographs and films from the family archive.
