Fast sex or eternal love, iPhone or wild nature, European passport or Yugoslavian soul? During a holiday in Bosnia, the Dutch teenager Alma goes from one absurd situation to the next in this refreshing road movie.
It becomes clear the Dutch teenager Alma is torn between two worlds when she spends a sweltering summer in Bosnia, her parents’ native country. She wants to visit her sick father, but nothing goes as planned. Determined to make a connection with her fatherland, she goes from one absurd and alienating situation to the next. This peculiar, playful road movie with striking and unusual camera angles was presented with the Special Jury Award in the Tiger Competition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
