Schaken met de dood

Director: Roel van Dalen
Better cancer drugs are developed, but they become more and more expensive. At a time when everybody has to be more commercially oriented, Roel van Dalen follows researchers at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital for 18 months who are working on a new drug cocktail. We see how the first three patients undergo this experimental treatment. At the same time, the documentary demonstrates the influence of the free market system in healthcare. Will they succeed in issuing the new medicines to cancer patients on a large scale?
