Laird Lawrence MacEwen has become one with his Isle of Muck. His traditional way of tilling the soil is at risk of being lost and this will drastically change his Scottish isle and his life. This documentary shows his struggle to accept that.
Cindy Jansen follows the Laird of the Scottish Isle of Muck. It is this land owner’s life mission to preserve the vulnerable community on his isle in the Inner Hebrides and eventually hand over things to his son. He stubbornly clings to his ideals about ecological stewardship, but he will have to accept he no longer has control of his son, his life and his isle. His body is weakening, his diary is updated less and less often. With a gorgeous supporting role for the rugged scenery and the skies.
