Sixteen years after being abducted as a child by Joseph Kony’s rebel army, Ugandan Opono Opondo escapes from the army. How can he pick up his life as an ordinary civilian?
As a child, Ugandan Opono Opondo was abducted by Joseph Kony’s rebel army. Sixteen years later, he escapes from the army and returns hone as an adult war commander. He will have to re-adapt to civil society. Opondo learns to ride a moped, takes a business course and has business cards printed. Yet it remains tough for him to find his feet between the people he fought against almost his entire life - including his relatives. In the process, Opondo struggles with both his past and present.
