Interactive installation around a generative ecosystem, populated by a digital life form, created by visitors. The installation is a playful exploration of ecology and the theory of evolution.
The LifeDisc is a digital ecosystem that every visitor can help build. Your ‘own’ creation instantly starts to eat, sleep and reproduce. This way, the population grows and the environment is colonised. The installation is a continuously self-building system. Each visitor adds a personal creation, so the generative whole will never be the same. Just as in a real-world ecosystem, the species compete with each other. A natural selection takes place and one creation will come out the winner.
