Although his Moroccan father was hardly present physically, he did leave a mark on Sam's upbringing. Because of his descent, the young policeman who grew up with his Dutch mother always felt an outsider. With his enormous drive, Sam lets himself be persuaded to infiltrate into a Moroccan drugs family. When he receives the warmth and acceptance here that he so dearly missed in his own family and the police force, he has growing doubts about where his loyalties lie. Subtly constructed psychological thriller that stays close to the protagonist’s skin.
