While a 86-year-old woman looks back on a far-reaching event in 1944, shortly after her 14th birthday, we look ahead through the eyes of girls who are 14 now and are still uninhibited.
On 2 October 1944, a 14-year-old girl witnessed how her father, along with hundreds of other men, was carried away from Putten by train. He would never return. Now, she is 86 and the only member of her family still alive. While the old woman shares her memories with the viewers, several girls who are 14 now and are full of their own stories look ahead with an open mind. Both personal and universal documentary, exploring the common grounds of photography and film.
