Mothers and children express their thoughts and feeling in the aftermath of the affair around fertility doctor Jan Karbaat, who secretly replaced the promised donors’ semen with his own.

In a replica of a clinic, two mothers and their children talk about the impact this discovery had on their lives and mutual relationships. While the mothers are mainly shaken, the children reflect on the (hereditary) qualities they cannot have inherited from their mothers. What are the implications of their biological father’s actions? Will the bond between mother and child ever be the same?
