Personal documentary whose maker takes a closer look at his perfect family, as well as the straitlaced life he leads for this reason. In a confrontation, he spills out all his frustration.
Filmmaker Sander Houwaart grew up in a safe, harmonious and straitlaced environment. His family leads the perfect life and as a small boy he conformed to this prim picture. Now that he is a grown man, questions and irritation surface. In this personal documentary, he decides to depict his family’s routines and to question his relatives about it. By confronting them, he hopes to find out whether a life outside the safe boundaries is really possible for him.
