After living in Europe for five years, the young refugee Modou is deported to a Gambia he no longer recognises. Or has he himself changed at the other side of the ocean?
What is the human impact of migration between Africa and Europe? Here, we look at the issue through the lens of a Gambian repatriated migrant. The film addresses the psychological conflicts that arise when Modou, a young West African, returns to his native country after illegally living in what was once purported to be paradise: Europe. In this short drama, Modou no longer feels at home in his homeland, but still he will have to find his niche there.
