Romantic comedy in which the protagonists bravely keep their footing on the unstable Groningen soil, while their love blossoms in a ruthless climate. Sometimes more by hit than by wit.
As Harko watches the last girls leave his earthquake-torn village in Groningen, a bus full of asylum seekers enters the village. Among these ‘fortune seekers’ is Faiza, who fights for a permanent citizenship. While Harko's mother is completely preoccupied by 'her crack' in the wall, the young Groninger is torn between his loyalty to his friends and his budding love for Faiza. Their chances gradually diminish in this moving romantic comedy, as Groningen is sinking and the aversion to asylum seekers grows.
