In this documentary, the paths of two utterly different women from different generations cross. In both their quests for solitude and silence, emptiness makes way for wonder.

In Bethlehem, a 92-year-old nun is still amazed about every year granted to her. Far away, amidst the turmoil of Amsterdam, a young woman is meanwhile looking for a meaningful arrangement of her life. In this documentary, Marie-Paule and Maya may be separated by three generations and completely different mentalities and thoughts, but their paths still cross in their search for solitude and silence. Their quest for emptiness makes room for wonder.
