In this documentary, Zandvoort prepares for an event everything has to make way for: the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The arrival of the Covid-19 virus turns all ambitious plans upside down.
On 3 May 2020, for the first time in 35 years, a Formula 1 Grand Prix is scheduled again on the Zandvoort circuit. This documentary follows the preparations for this event for one year. Through the eyes of involved administrators, villagers, entrepreneurs and the local ranger, we witness how the village pulls out all stops to organise the most appealing and sustainable racing event in history. Opponents express their unvarnished opinions, too. Everyone is ready to go when in the early spring of 2020 the Covid-19 virus arrives.
