Burden of Peace

Director: Joey Boink
Guatemala is a Valhalla for heavy criminals. Hardly anybody gets arrested, let alone convicted. This documentary tells the impressive story of Claudia Paz y Paz, the lady with the most dangerous job on earth. As the first woman heading the Public Prosecution department, she engages in a battle against drug cartels and corruption. Paz y Paz does not limit herself to crimes that are committed today; she also investigates wrong-doings in the past. Intimate film about the life of a striking woman on a well-nigh impossible mission.
