To get away from his drab life, Michael works out every day to become the best at the new street sports calisthenics. In this documentary portrait, he dreams of travelling, getting out of Rotterdam-Zuid.
After a tumultuous childhood marked by stays in boarding schools and clinics, Michael (22) is burdened by debts and has no permanent address. Stuck between the concrete of Rotterdam-Zuid and his work in the docks, he dreams of a way out in this energetically edited documentary impression. 'Perseverance is the key to success', is his motto, while he falls under the spell of the new street sports calisthenics, power gymnastics you can even practise in the subway. Every day, he works out to reach the top.
