Open Call: NFF Fellowship Programme 2025 - 2026

The Netherlands Film Festival will launch the third edition of the Fellowships Programme in September 2025, which will include spots for three new research projects.

The programme provides opportunities for mid-career creators to conduct in-depth research at the crossroads of Storytelling and Digital Culture, questioning the relationship between society and technology. Creators and collectives who actively work in science-, visual arts-, film-, gaming-, design- or other forms of visual culture industries are invited in the Fellowships programme to explore new technologies, tools and themes.

During the one-year research period (September 2025 - September 2026), various creators, curators, researchers and other professionals fulfil the role of mentor, advisor and respondent. The research period will conclude with the presentation of their work during the Storyspace exhibition that will take place in the main hall of Neude Library during the festival.

The first Fellows, consisting of ARK, Špela Petrič and Tina Farifteh, started in 2023. Last year, they were followed by current Fellows Simone C. Niquille, Victorine van Alphen and Radical Data. They will present their research to the audience during NFF 2025.
