Connecticut, 1973. Against the backdrop of sweeping social and political changes in the United States, two traditional middle-class families, each in their own way, end up in an existential crisis full of liquor, drugs and experiments with free sex. The relationships between the spouses and between their children and their parents change permanently during an abrupt, heavy ice storm in the weekend following the national holiday of Thanksgiving. The drama is based on Rick Moody’s eponymous boek.
