The socially committed actors of the Wunderbaum theatre collective decide to quit acting and take real action. Docudrama in which fact and fiction intertwine in original ways.
Members of the socially committed Rotterdam-based theatre collective Wunderbaum decide to quit acting and take real action. One actress, for example, sets up De Basisoptimisten, focussing on underprivileged urban areas. Following the Japanese example, another member opens a Bar of Tears. One of the actors sees more good in radical actions against bankers and multinationals. The differences in approach and vision put the collective under pressure. Fact and fiction intertwine in this docudrama that wraps up their theatre project The New Forest.
