In the 1970s, the anarchist party band De Veulpoepers is world-famous (in Noord-Brabant). They mobilise quite a few people and actuate many causes, but after a hefty row at the reunion, they quit playing.
In the 1970s, De Veulpoepers is formed in Hilvarenbeek: a festive, militant folk band with left-wing ideals. They are a fixture at every village festival and every demonstration,D’n Egelantier being their biggest hit song. Around this motley crew, a movement arises that puts socialist ideals in practice by establishing small companies, communes and the Tilburg concert hall we now know as 013. In 1996, a reunion leads to a serious dispute and the curtain falls for one of the most cross-grained and controversial bands the Netherlands ever knew. The musicians look back on their glory days and their painful downfall.
