The traditional chief of the Limburgia guild goes all out to crown his deceased wife queen of the guild. After ascending the throne, he realises he has to choose between present and past.
Willie (60) gets his annual chance to become king of the Schutterij Limburgia guild. He goes all out to finally secure this coveted honorary title. But despite Willie’s tireless preparations, everything goes wrong on the big day. When his wife Fien has a fatal accident in the Limburg fields on her way to the supermarket, Willie completely loses it. Like a veritable one-man army, he defends the guild’s home against the mayor’s conversion plans, while grimly trying to crown his deceased wife queen, after all.
