Helped by a friend, tomboy Dolly (12) discovers her burgeoning female sexuality. Fulfilled by this insight, she tries out a new game the boundaries of which are still unclear to her.
'Shouldn’t you go and play soccer?' With this remark, 12-year-old Dolly’s father fobs off his daughter. A slightly older friend is more attentive and makes tomboy Dolly aware of her burgeoning female sexuality. This unexpected insight invites Dolly to a new game, the boundaries and effects of which she does not immediately realise. Following Dolly from up close, the camera reveals the succession of curiosity, insecurity and recklessness betrayed by her expressions.
