Poetical portrait of a mother’s last days: personal and universal at the same time. Snippets and memories, with the hospital wall as the projection screen.
Short film about the last days of life, shot in the hospital and at home. The sounds of personal conversations, medical procedures and doctor visits, in combination with footage of the locations where all this takes place and the traces of a life that is slowly tapering off, produce an intimate yet universal film about a death foretold. ‘I’ve done my best for so long. But still, the end is the end. There’s nothing I can do about that.’
