Ten-year-old Tristan is the son of deaf parents. His younger sister and he can hear. They move effortlessly in the world of their father and mother, who also have a largely deaf group of friends. Their contact with the hearing outside world is occasionally more challenging. All this is not a big deal, but Tristan is seriously annoyed when his soccer club prefers not to hire his dad Dave as the coach of Tristan’s team. After all, Dave plays on the national Dutch soccer team for the deaf.
