Documentary about the current issue regarding organ donation. Why do some doctors, ethics and relatives have their doubts about the brain death protocol?
Since last year, every Dutchman is a potential organ donor after their demise, unless they explicitly registered objection. But can we be sure donors will not be affected? One of the most frequent objections against the new law is that it will profoundly impact private life. Moreover, people are afraid doctors will proceed to organ donation too quickly. In this investigative documentary, Frans Bromet asks doctors, surviving relatives and ‘hands-on’ experts how they experience the new law in practice.
