Vigorous, melancholy comedy about three Amsterdam losers hoping to make a fortune when they find a laptop containing incriminating material. But the criminal world and judicial system won’t be trifled with.
Somewhere in a posh part of Amsterdam, three debauched characters lodge on a ramshackle little boat. Dirk (38) is a down-and-out architect, John (45) a hard-drinking ex-rocker, and Quickie (19) an agile and voluble guy who has been turned away by all institutions as a nuisance. When they bump into the laptop of the public prosecutor lying in the street, they try to cash in on the incriminating files it contains.
