Siep joins Ruben's football team for training for the first time. It soon becomes clear that the macho culture on the pitch puts a strain on their friendship. A story about growing up, friendship and identity.
When Ruben (17) and Siep (16) go to football training together, their friendship is soon put to the test. Siep is no match for the macho behaviour of the group of boys, and becomes the target of bullying from the moment he walks into the changing room. Ruben is torn: should he join in with his teammates to fit in? Or should he stay loyal to his friendship with Siep? That's the question at the heart of this debut, a coming-of-age story about masculinity, vulnerability and friendship.
