When a bizarre accident leaves Fransje disabled, he seems destined for a hopeless life in the sleepy village of Lomark. That changes, however, when the charismatic and reckless newcomer Joe Speedboot arrives and strikes up an unlikely friendship with him. Together, they chase daring dreams, from building aeroplanes to arm-wrestling tournaments. The captivating girl PJ puts their friendship to the test. Daan Buringa, who plays Fransje, is a wheelchair user in real life.
