Short, essayistic and personal documentary about parting and death, based on a painting that filmmaker Lieve Bresser inherited from her deceased uncle. What does mortality mean to Bresser?
When filmmaker Lieve Bresser inherited a painting from her uncle, it was the first time she consciously reflected on death. In this visual document, she contemplates the end by asking essential questions to herself and her loved ones: what does mortality mean to me and what does parting mean to you? Image and sound merge in this essayistic film account, shedding light on various aspects of death. And will this specific painting change Bresser’s view of life and death?
