Ten-year-old Giovanni will have nothing to do with karate or soccer. Synchronised swimming; that is his sport. As the only boy on the team, he feels quite at home in a world full of agile and beautifully adorned girls. For four years now, Giovanni has dreamt of participating in the Dutch synchronised swimming championships. This dream is now within reach; he only has to pass one last important exam. Backed by stirring music, the documentary shows Giovanni’s strenuous preparations for the exam and disarming conversations with his sweetheart Kim, who supports him through thick and thin.
