At a time when churches close up shop every week, a minister goes door-to-door in the Amsterdam residential district of IJburg. But who lets him in? By talking to the residents in their homes, he investigates what believing means to them. The documentary not only provides a visually variegated portrait of the urban district of IJburg, but also a wide-ranging palette of views on belief and purpose that are cherished in modern society.
