In the build-up to Christmas, each member of Brechtje’s family thinks he or she does the right thing. But when Brechtje gets cancelled, they end up in trouble one by one in this comedy.
Unfortunately, a trouble-free Christmas is not in the cards for Brechtje’s (Jacqueline Blom) family. In this absurdist ensemble comedy, their efforts to ‘do good’ get completely out hand. Mother Brechtje gets cancelled, but cannot understand why. Her husband Martijn (René van Zinnicq Bergmann) falls in love with a younger colleague (Laura Bakker) and thinks the affection is mutual. Son-in-law Justus (Kiefer Zwart) gets lost in his Don Quichote-likequest for manliness, while daughter Jos (Stefanie van Leersum) tries to change the world with her tolerance. And all this right before Christmas dinner. Featuring Paul de Leeuw as Santa.
