Ramsey Nasr recites Ida Gerhardt’s confrontational poem Slachtlammeren. The fear and horror it describes are at odds with the images, composed as a still life, of a still empty and quiet slaughterhouse, where immaculate hooks, aprons, shoes and a shining saw blade wait for the unwary bleating of the doomed lambs.
