Director Suzanne Raes is filled with nostalgia for the time she was in primary school. It seems she felt more at home in the late 1970s, when a better world seemed within reach. Do her former classmates feel the same? And are they ever reminded of tough Johnny, who was so different from the others? He went wildly at people if things weren’t to his liking and he knew everything about sex. Raes can draw from loads of film footage and photographs from the period and for the interviews she uses a Viewmaster to show people a picture from back then.
