Heddy Honigmann follows six guide dogs and their handicapped or traumatised bosses. Portrayed in such an affectionate and respectful way it will make even the most confirmed cat lover’s heart melt.
Guide dog Mister wakes up war veteran Trevor if he is plagued by nightmares about Afghanistan. The autistic boy Zeb couldn’t live without his beloved quadruped Utah; this guide dog never rejects him. And the rebellious Annebel goes nowhere without Kay, her pal and ‘nurse’ who guards over her when the pain gets too bad. The stories of these and three other indispensable guide dogs and their owners together make for a touching documentary on the unique relationship between people and their four-legged friends.
