In this exper­i­mental docu­men­tary, Amer­ican avant-garde composer John Cage (1912−1992) is asked nine­teen ques­tions on various themes. The choice of subjects and the dura­tion of his often colourful and sophis­ti­cated answers are deter­mined by the prob­a­bility calculus the composer regu­larly employed himself in ordering his music: the so-called Cagean process’. One of four films under the header From Zero that Scheffer made in asso­ci­a­tion with Cage’s fellow-composer Andrew Culver.
