From 27 September to 1 October 2025, the Dutch audiovisual industry gathered once again for the NFF Professionals Programme, featuring inspiring discussions, the Talent Day and Expert Sessions. This year, the NFF Professionals Programme took shape in a new way, with the introduction of the NFF Focustalks. These inspiring sessions focused on interdisciplinary work and innovative perspectives.

NFF Extended: Expanded Cinema
On Tuesday 26 August, we organised a new NFF Extended event where we brought creators together to explore Expanded Cinema and look ahead to the future.
The Netherlands has an enormous wealth of creators who work outside the established paths and produce experimental, immersive and expanded work. But what does it mean to be a creator of Expanded Cinema today? How and where do we show this work, which is often screened outside the regular circuit of film theatres? And how do we build a community of groundbreaking creators together? It is time to make this network visible and further strengthen it.
NFF Extended: Fair Pay, Fair Practice, Fair Results
On Wednesday 28 May, the first NFF Extended of 2025 took place, entirely devoted to Fair Pay and Fair Practice. Together, we looked at the results of recent research into the additional costs of fair pay and the gender pay gap, and discussed the opportunities that these changes offer.
