Since the war erupted, 150 Ukrainian women and children found shelter with the nuns in the Huize de Berg convent in Heerlen. About resilience and looking for hope.
Director Zorba Huisman shows the lives of a group of Ukrainian women and children who after fleeing their war-torn country ended up in a place of faith: the Huize de Berg nunnery in Heerlen. In the corridors of the convent, their path crosses that of the nuns, with whom at first glance they do not share anything but a roof over their heads and a clear language barrier. Or are there more similarities with these women of God? And by the way, where is He in times of war?
