Singer Wende Snijders makes her first appearance as Nina, a young woman who drives and hitches rides along the roads of Europe in a desperate attempt to forget the past. She barely holds out and occasionally threatens to drown in delirium. The encounter with a friendly German driver only temporarily provides solace. Relatively disparate scenes, often shot in extreme close-up, as an intense visualisation of mourning and loss. How the blow of a great loss and betrayal makes Nina do things she would not have deemed possible.
