Intimate portrait of artist and painter Pieter Jan Knorr. Knorr has to part with his favourite subject and also model: a premature, dead foal.
Artist Pieter Jan Knorr makes paintings of rural Groningen. For years, his favourite model has been a premature, dead foal. Knorr intently observes the little snout and the miniature hooves. It was once a living entity, but now that it is dead the animal has degenerated into an object. This is a theme that immensely intrigues the artist, although he realises someday he will have to part with his favourite subject. Through his canvass, Knorr looks for answers to vital questions in this intimate documentary.
