A poetic documentary that reveals the small-scale human labour behind creating a gigantic textile installation. Human, machine and material come together in an extensive construction process.
Johannes Offerhaus conceives, designs and constructs textile spaces for intimate encounters with his team at Studio Zelt. This poetic documentary shows how they put together an eighty-metre-long and eleven-metre-high textile installation. With towering steel structures and vast fabrics as a backdrop, we see the intimate human work involved in this architectural process. In this debut, the large scale of the installation contrasts with the small, delicate actions needed to bring it to life. A complex dance between human, machine and material.
