Reconstruction of a local murder in Amsterdam-North also offers a concrete analysis of what noise pollution can do to a man’s psyche.
Op 28 September 2008, the 'Tutti Frutti district' in Amsterdam-North is startled by the murder of a local resident. It turns out 28-year-old Marvin has been stabbed by his downstairs neighbour after a night full of noise pollution. In her debut film, Leonie van Noort reconstructs the overture to this tragedy with the neighbours. The consequences of life in an excessively noisy neighbourhood appear to be huge.
